We are being warned to expect flooding in parts of the East Midlands as a month’s worth of rain is set to fall throughout today (6th July 2012).
The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings.
Meanwhile the emergency services in the East Midlands are reminding us only to dial 9-9-9 in an emergency where life is at risk or people are in danger.
Last week when we had a downpour like this, five times the amount of people called for help in 2 hours than they normally do in a whole day.
